So last Wednesday I made the trek to AC with my dad and brother (Trump
Marina) for a couple days vacation to get some sun, sand, and the
B-Street Band on the deck Thursday night @ Trump's. As it turned out
ANOTHER of my favorites "Parrot Beach" was playing Wednesday night
(Jimmy Buffett tribute) our first night in town so I was 'stoked'....
as the kids say.Well, the B-Street Band CANCELLED their show for
Thursday due to an illness in the band. I've been going to see the band
since the early 90's and that had NEVER happened before. I couldn't
believe our bad luck.
HOWEVER, the replacement band was 'Asbury Fever', and I was prepared to
hate them. As a fan of B-Streets for so long, I have somewhat high
standards regarding anybody who covers Bruce.
All I can say is....WOW!!
They were fantastic!
Lots of Springsteen, a few Southside Johnny songs
here and there, too. GREAT setlist (The Fever was awesome!) and the
lead guitarist was off the hook good. Lots of energy from the front
man, and he sang spot on versions of SSJ's 'Talk To Me' and 'Trapped
Again' (among others).
These guys SAVED our trip, and I now consider
myself a fan. Kudos for a job MORE than well done, and I encourage
anybody who hasn't seen them to go take a listen if you can. Thanks Asbury Fever! We'll be seeing y'all again down the road for sure.

Your Mahwah show, last night, was Awesome! The band was Tight! Only disappointment was that you didn't play "Incident" (next time).

My husband and 2 sons were at
Ramapo College last night and just wanted to know how thoroughly we enjoyed the
show. It was the first time we had seen the band and we can certainly say it
won't be the last. Although not an original Jersey girl, I my last 15 years have
spent in this great state and I am happy to say my transformation is complete.
Last night
demonstrated nearly all of the reasons I do love it here--outside, perfect
night, friends, red wine, Springsteen and my 2 youngest sons singing along to
all of the songs they hear in the car and in our kitchen. All we were missing
were the waves of LBI (but vacation in 2 weeks will find us there as well).
